...these afghan government types are a bunch of negative nancies!

Sack up, soldiers! These Taliban aren't gonna kill themselves!

(Well, actually, some of them will...)

At this rate, we'll be lucky if the Taliban die of old age.

I'm sympathetic to the commanders who want the US to pitch tent and stay in Afghanistan for the long haul. Of course they're gonna want us to say; those poor, hapless bastards picked the wrong side to win, and now, if coalition forces leave them, they'd be f***ed six ways from Sunday, and get slaughtered by all the Afghans who didn't 'sell out.' (which are a lot).
