Goodnight Afghanistan, good morning Pakistan.

Written liberally in the style of Goodnight Moon.

In the great Situation Room

there was a high-level discussion

and a red-faced Biden

and a picture of...

Afghanistan once America departs

And there were three little principles sitting on chairs

And two little deputies And a pair of super-encrypted Blackberries

And a little toy Predator And a young president

And the specter of a one-eyed mullah and a very tall Arab and a bowl full of opium

And a not-so-quiet old man who was mumbling "counterterrorism"

Goodnight Karzai Goodnight Abdullah

Goodnight nation building

Goodnight ink-stained index fingers

Goodnight Afghanistan

Good morning Pakistan

Good morning Kayani

Good morning Balochistan Good morning Qilla Abdullah, Pishin, and Quetta Good morning Karachi

Good morning Predator and Reaper drones Good morning assassination squads

Good morning Pakistan National Highway N-25

Good morning semi-managed chaos

Good morning stalemate

Good morning front-loaded withdrawal

Good night Pakistan.

Is Zardari already so

Is Zardari already so irrelevant that he does not warrant even one of the liberally disposed "Good morning"s?

Why U.S has to begin "good

Why U.S has to begin "good morning" and end with "good night"
in Pakistan? Pakistan bred terrorists are already doing just that for their own country. with such poor poem to his credit, I dread to know that he has a blog.

Pakistan and the leadership

I don't think Zardari has any role in the great game being played there in Pakistan. He is less than a puppet to curb the resistance and enforce a trauma on the whole nation. His presence has left a big scar on the history. He is so unimportant that even his removal will be the softest of all.

Having no allegiance to any political party of Pakistan, makes me say that the front politicians of the country are not even confused but even defensive as well. They really havn't got that leadership acumen which gives that courage and foresightedness which makes a real LEADER.

Pakistan is a ship without a captain and is astray. They would be docked eventually one day but for sure where they would'nt like to be.

My best wishes and prayers for Pakistan as that country is encircled around by the most possible ruthless war mongers who will never be quiet till their tongues are cut right from throat.
