
Austin Long is an assistant professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where he teaches international security policy and strategic studies. He was previously an associate political scientist at the RAND Corporation. His research interests include low-intensity conflict, intelligence, military operations, nuclear forces, military innovation, and the political economy of national security. His work has been published in (or is forthcoming from), International Security, Survival, The International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, The American Interest, The Journal of Cold War Studies, and the RAND Corporation.
